Arona is the hotspot for Tenerife lovers

The place "Tenerife Arona" is the center of the municipality of the same name and extends to about 85 km² in the south of Tenerife. It competes with the border municipality of Adeje. Both are similar and have been the most important places in the south since tourism began in the 1960s.
The most famous place in “Tenerife Arona” is Playa de Las Americas. The stronghold for tourism with many hotels, apartment complexes and a long entertainment mile. What feels like countless restaurants along the long promenade offer guests a variety of different cuisines from all over the world. The approximately 15 km long coastline offers all kinds of water sports enthusiasts a lot of fun and the long sandy beaches delight the many bathing tourists. Directly adjacent is the town of Los Cristianos with the harbor and the popular beaches. Nevertheless, the original small fishing village has retained its tranquility. The locals still meet at the small plaza near the harbor under the old plane trees for a chat.
The ferries of "Tenerife Arona" run from the port to the other islands of the archipelago and there is always a coming and going. Fishing boats often come in and you can watch the big tuna being unloaded.

The church square of "Tenerife Arona" is another meeting place and you can watch young people playing ball with a glass of wine. Beach volleyball championships are often held on the beach. You will also find several golf courses in the vicinity. Another popular area is Costa del Silencio with Las Galletas. Here a former small fishing port has now been expanded into a marina with all kinds of water sports. Los Abrigos is only a few kilometers away. Here you will find a variety of recommendable fish restaurants. Anyone who loves fish is in paradise here.
From Los Cristianos it is only about 10 minutes by car to “Tenerife Arona”.
At La Camella turn off in the direction of "Teide" and after a few kilometers you are already in Arona. The small town of “La Camella” is a hub for the region. Turning left leads to Arona and on to Teide. Straight to Valle San Lorenzo and San Miguel. Right down to Cabo Blanco and on to the coast to Las Galletas. Despite the great importance as a municipality administrative place, the town of Arona is quite sleepy. The 18th century church of San Antonio Abad with the church square Plaza de la Salud with the large shady trees form the center. A walk in the surrounding streets with the stately houses is a good way to explore the place "Tenerife Arona".
